THE EFFECT OF GRATITUDE AND ACADEMIC SELF EFFICACY ON ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT IN STUDENTS

Engagement plays an important role in academic success and the world of work, it is a hallmark optimal learning experience (Bilge, Tuzkol, Dots, & Cetin, 2014). Engaged students usually do well their studies (Kuh, Kinzie, Buckley, Bridges, Hayek, 2007; Salanova, Schaufeli, Martinez, Breso, 2010). Therefore, engagement needed for students, so that objectives process activities can be achieved effectively efficiently. This study aims to determine effect gratitude, self-efficacy, on engagement. The sample this were Faculty Psychology, Raden Fatah State Islamic University Palembang with total population 968 students. amounted 155 psychology faculty. sampling technique uses non probability technique, which means not all have same opportunity used as research samples. Data analysis will carried out by linear regression at significance level 0.005, using SPSS.20 application. results showed there was significant self-efficacy (R2 = 29.4%). hypothesis test show gratitude
